Give a deaf girl her voice.

At Bishop Thomas Labrecque School in Tanzania, 17 brilliant deaf girls are about to be left behind. Not because they can’t learn. But because no one is speaking their language. We can change that.

A Word from Father Gotfried

Father Gotfried Mulisa has known these students since the school began. He writes to us about the profound challenges they face.

"I was touched by the challenges which these deaf girls go through... I have come to you for assistance, that together we can touch a life of these deaf girls in Africa."

A Wall of Silence

Deaf girls in Muleba face a world not built for them. Communication feels impossible. Isolation becomes normal. Many are orphans or from families who can’t afford the extra cost of their education.

At school, they’re not just learning math, they’re fighting to prove they belong. Without help, they’ll drop out. Not because they failed, but because the world made it too hard to stay.

This is the change your gift makes possible

At Bishop Thomas Labrecque School, the sisters and teachers aren’t waiting for a miracle. They’re building one, desk by desk. They’ve created a rare space where sign language is the first language, where deaf girls are the leaders of the class.

Our job is to fuel that work. Your support provides the practical foundation so these educators can focus on what they do best: unlocking potential.

This is about more than one girl

This work has a rhythm. A girl gets an education. She learns to read, write, and advocate for herself in a world that told her she couldn’t. She finds her community. She’s no longer the only deaf person she knows.

She has sisters, teachers, and friends who understand her. She changes the future. She becomes a role model. She shows her village what deaf people can achieve.

She becomes a candidate for a job, a voice in her community, and proof that disability is not inability. Your gift starts that ripple.

How It Works

1. You Give. Your donation funds a full year for one girl.

2. We Partner. 100% of designated funds go to our trusted partners on the ground (Father Gotfried and the School).

3. They Build. The school provides the education, community, and care. We provide the resources to make it sustainable.

A Final Blessing

"On my own behalf and on behalf of the 17 girls and their parents and guardians I hereby wish Touch a Life in Africa and the entire staff and benefactors good health and fruitful spiritual growth."
